iTKO’s LISA 5 Suite Receives Positive Review in Ovum Technology Audit Document

LISA provides a single integrated solution set for all aspects of testing, validation, and service virtualization

iTKO, a provider of virtualization and validation solutions for enterprise cloud applications, announces the availability of new independent research from OVUM, based on a thorough product review and market positioning analysis of their LISA 5.0 Suite.

Produced by principal analyst Rob Hailstone of UK-based analyst firm Ovum (formerly Butler Group), the document, titled “Technical Analysis: LISA 5.0 Suite” describes the functionality of iTKO’s LISA software for optimizing modern application development and testing purposes.

“In Ovum’s opinion, the emphasis is on LISA’s ability to provide a single integrated solution set for all aspects of testing, validation, service virtualization, and error diagnostics in a component-based IT infrastructure environment,” writes Hailstone in the report. “The solution helps any organization undertaking migration from a traditional monolithic application model to a composite application-based model by offering its capabilities across all technology layers that make up the composite application, as well as multiple platforms.”

Findings on LISA mentioned in the document include:

  • Provides testing capabilities across multiple technology layers.
  • Root-cause defect analysis identifies the source of problems in hybrid environments.
  • Codeless approach enhances the contribution of non-technical staff and QA teams.
  • Continuous policy validation in conjunction with SOA governance solutions.
  • Service virtualization capabilities for simulation and testing in a virtual environment.

“LISA customers are demonstrating the value of eliminating dependencies and system constraints by virtualizing services for development and testing, which allows them to reduce environment costs and risks across the software lifecycle,” said Jason English, VP Marketing Communications, iTKO. “We are pleased that this document was made available by Ovum to assist IT departments in their research, as it provides useful detail on LISA’s solution capabilities and the iTKO delivery process.”
